Ptosis

As per the topic given to me to write about the experience which had since childhood having Ptosis in one of my eye. Lemme state that I had Ptosis in my eye since birth and having Ptosis means having a different life. When I was born then after some months my parents when to some doctors then they said that it was because of cold. They said that I could have being having cold so due to cold the eye would not be opening normally. The doctors said that it will head after some time but it didn’t healed. So my parents didn’t had any kind of option what to do so they waited for some year so that i can gather knowledge because as a child taking any kind of risk is very dangerous.
As I remember when I was of 3 years den I was taken to Disha Eye hospital, Barrackpore. Where the doctor checked my vision and then they like a community of doctors had a meeting about my eyes and then one of the doctor come to my parents and said that operating the eye is taking risk as the eye can heal or the eye could be damaged forever then my parents did not took any kind of risk with my eye and then we came back and the matter was closed because nobody wanted to take any kind of risk and then I started my school life. As I was a student of kindergarten and junior classes I did not find any kind of difference or any kind of trouble having Ptosis. because as I was child nobody used to bully me about my eyes. But as I grew older than I gathered know ledge about everything because as a child no one can understand all kind of thing but as you grow older peoples stand understanding all the things.
When I was in 9th standard I again visited a doctor near by he did said the same thing and I came back as I was a student I was bullied from many of student in the school. I was like why all this things happened to me why am I different from all other children. I used to think that I am very ugly and nobody will like to be my friend and i do hated myself and I did not like my face and it happened many time that I did started crying and due to Ptosis i was not able to face any stranger as they will think something bad about me then also I did face any kind or every situation with all my courage I showed everyone that I was very happy but truly I was broken from inside. Because of Ptosis I underestimate myself and always stayed at home so that no one can bully me. My condition was like why I had this Ptosis I did not harmed anyone then why God put me in such situation and I can’t explain but I did cried everyday because of this.
Then I stood up and changed myself I was in class 9 when I change myself I became the badest guy anyone can meet in his/her entire life then no one had the guts to bully are in front of me but I know they bullied about my eyes on my back. I then thought that yes I do have Ptosis in one of my eye but do it make any difference??? I was like all other guys. I was good in studies and was good in everything then why I do think that i am not capable of doing things from that day I changed myself. yes I do cry but don`t shout it to anyone, I do show that it don`t matter that I am like them or I am having Ptosis.le to face any stranger as they will think something bad about me then also I did face any kind or every situation with all my courage I showed everyone that I was very happy but truly I was broken from inside. Because of Ptosis I underestimate myself and always stayed at home so that no one can bully me. My condition was like why I had this Ptosis I did not harmed anyone then why God put me in such situation and I can’t explain but I did cried everyday because of this.
Then when I was in class 11. It was around mid of the year ie- September when i again went to Disha eye hospital which is now in seoraphuli. I with my dad visited the doctor. Doctor had some checkup by which he cleared his doubts and then he concluded that i have Ptosis but excluding Ptosis i was suffering from squint which he said can be treated and after 6 months of squint surgery they will be doing my Ptosis surgery and i will be normal like any other guy. Hearing all this i was in the 7th sky i can’t explain how much happy i was at that time and i did agreed for undergoing the treatment i had my squint surgery and after 6 months of squint surgery when i went  there for my next surgery of Ptosis i did went to the same doctor but he actually refused for doing so. I can’ say what i felt at that time, it was like someone pushed me from a building. I was literally scattered. I did not said a word and came back home quietly. I lost all my hopes and again started blaming myself that i could never look good what so every i do. Then I went to another Doctor after some months the name of clinic was something like Shankar Netralay there the Doctor said he can operate the eye and can make it about normal to the other eye but the way he explained about the surgery i got scared and refused for having surgery from him because I was somewhere sure that he will damage my eye, after that day i did started studying for my ISC.
After my ISC examination I joined an international BPO because I knew that I am having Ptosis and I cant get placed in any government job. so everyone know that now a days money is everything and I was worried that if I did not get a job then my future will be at stake. So as my ISC ended the day after my last exam, I started working because I cant depend on anyone for my whole life. I wanted success at any cost so I started working. I had Ptosis but I did not wanted to regret for it. It was like 8 months passed by when my elder brother said me about ‘Merchant Navy’ and he did everything for me. He did filled my form and applied in different colleges. I was like sure that I will not be selected in this too because I have Ptosis. But my elder brother said that there is nothing such that you are medically unfit. He said you are only having Ptosis which is medically a normal condition, ptosis is not declared as handicap so you are medically fit. And you just prepare for your examination which will be held by the college for the selection of student. I gave the examination in two colleges in which one was approved by government of India and the other was under AMSA ie registration under Australian shipping or something like that. said he can operate the eye and can make it about normal to the other eye but the way he explained about the surgery i got scared and refused for having surgery from him because I was somewhere sure that he will damage my eye, after that day i did started studying for my ISC.
I did cleared the examination in both the college and the government college asked me to bring all my documents including medical. I went to doctor for my medical. In which I was found medically fit when I went to the college the director of that Government College said me that I can never join merchant navy because I was having Ptosis he did insult me my elder brother fought on my behalf, he asked him how he can say me medically unfit and then we came back home. It was again a shock for me I was actually speechless. Then the other college ask for my document and medicals. I was sure that the same thing will happen again. Then also we went there, the director took my interview he saw the medicals and asked me if I can see from that eye or not when i said i can see from that eyes then he said you are medically fit for this job. I can`t say i was very happy. It took around 3 months for all examinations, Interview and medical. I am very thankful to my elder brother who didn`t thought of his job and stayed home and made me complete all the process. and because of him i got admission because he was standing on my back and did all the things. Because of this 3 months which he spend at home because of me he got punishment. As he in ITBPF he was suspended and got some more punishment. I proudly say he did everything for me.The day I got selected I believe that God do things for everyone betterment. At the present time everyone of my batch are studying in same colleges or the other but i am working under merchant navy. Yes I was bullied all the time but now everyone can see that they being medically fit can`t find the path out but me insted of having Ptosis is on my way for being a successful guy. But that was not enough God had many more gifts for me. As I completed my residential training in my college and I came back then my father asked me to make Ptosis crutches which one of doctors suggested me and when I went to Disha eye hospital for making that crutch they said they don`t make all those kinds of clutches. Then i started searching for Ptosis crutches like where it can be made then i found something which was totally unexpected. I saw the doctor who made all those was nearby.
I contacted the doctor and went to her it was like the another beautiful gift of God. Yes the person whom i am talking about is no one else but its you ma`am DR. Sumitra Agarwal. Ma`am are like truely a gift of God whom i met after several years.started working. I had Ptosis but I did not wanted to regret for it. I was like sure that I will not be selected in this too because I have Ptosis. But my elder brother said that there is nothing such that you are medically unfit. You are the one whom I respect very much. you made everything smooth in my life. You are truly a gift of God for me.t ‘Merchant Navy’ and he did everything for me. He did filled my form and applied in different colleges. I was like sure that I will not be selected in this too because I have Ptosis. But my elder brother said that there is nothing such that you are medically unfit. Conclusion:  God is always there for everyone and everything will happen in the correct time not before than that and not even after. Everyone gets the opportunity the thing is you need to grab it. Yes now i do say yes I have Ptosis but I can challenge anyone that the position I am at the moment, not everyone can grab that. Yes I struggled a lot but I got the result and it is awesome. Just wait for the correct time.rything for me. He did filled my form and applied in different colleges. I was like sure that I will not be selected in this too because I have Ptosis. But my elder brother said that there is nothing such that you are medically unfit. Dr Sumitra Agarwal: ma`am no words for you. You are just awesome I did not thought that I can be normal like others but you made it true very much thankful to you, for me you are God in the face of a person.

Ptosis Crutch Glass

I am Kavita Beragi, aged 23 years, female. I was suffering from ptosis. I went to many doctors for my treatment but nothing fruitful could result. Finally I went to Dr. Vibhuti Aiyer, he did many tests and checkups and finally told that I am having neurogenic ptosis. I was very much prepared for repair of my ptosis surgically but my doctor told I should not go for ptosis correction by surgery it would put me in further new troubles like exposure keratopathy or may be diplopia. Also he added no medication would be of great help to me. I was totally helpless so my parents asked him for some other non-surgical management for ptosis. Doctor suggested mechanical measure for ptosis correction. It sounded interesting, crutch glasses for ptosis correction. But he could not direct me where from can I get those crutch glasses. Then I started searching on google and found some company Artificial Eye Co, Kolkata. They make crutch glasses for ptosis. I contacted them and took an appointment and went for the correction of my ptosis. They showed me a few ways of mechanical correction of drooping eyelids by the help of crutch. It was interesting crutch is fitted in specialised spectacle frames on the upper inner side of the frame. They had crutch of metal, acrylic crutch, cord crutch. I was fitted with cord crutch which mechanically elevated my lid margin. I am so happy that now my lids are pulled up by the help of crutch and I am able to see and my vision is no more obscured by my droppy lids. Thank you Artificial Eye Co for crutch glasses for my ptosis correction.

Ptosis Crutch Glass

I am Vaibhav Saraoji, 34 years, male. I happened to meet with an accident on my tour to Madarmani. While paragliding I had met with an accident and slowly my left lid dropped down. I consulted many eye specialist and eye surgeons but nothing could be done. I have wasted huge money in doing different tests but nothing came out to be fruitful for me. My sagging eyelid has made me refrain from all my professional and social activities. I didn’t know how to fix my problem of ptosis. I didn’t know whether any surgery would help me solve this problem. Even the Oculoplasty surgeons could not guide me confidently in which direction should I proceed. I was confused; I didn’t know the risks and benefits involved in the ptosis surgery for a drooping eyelid. There was an uncertainty whether the surgery will increase the risk of corneal dryness or maybe I would have an asymmetric lid opening in 2 eyes or would I need to go for second surgery for ptosis if first ptosis surgery failed. While searching on net I did come to know about some mechanical ways of correcting ptosis that is crutch glasses and I could find a centre in India where ptosis is corrected and that to in my home state West Bengal. I contacted the centre Artificial Eye Co and met Dr Sumitra. She selected ptosis specific frame for me and then made the crutch and now I am happy that with the help of crutch I look normal and there is no dropping of lid. Thank you Dr Sumitra for the crutch glasses. I am happy to get the crutch glasses in India. Keep it up Artificial Eye Co.

Ptosis Crutch Glass

I am Sujata Sekh, age 17 years, female. I had ptosis of right eye since birth and I underwent ptosis surgery twice but there was relapse of ptosis and I was very much frustrated and I left my educational career for my ptosis. Now my parents are looking forward for my marriage but due to my ugly site of droopy right eyelid I was rejected and it troubled me more and I was really worried about my ptosis. Left over with no resort I searched on net day and night and found about mechanical correction of ptosis and got the only solution as crutch glass. But it was not possible for me to wear a crutch glass. I went to Artificial Eye Co and they were telling about crutch glass and I cried infront of Dr. Sumitra, the director of Artificial Eye Co and wanted her to do any solution for me for ptosis. In our community girls wearing a spectacle have difficulty in getting married so I could not wear spectacles. She was a generous and innovative doctor. Finally she fitted me with some speciality contact lens for the correction of ptosis. I am thankful to you doctor for correcting my problem in the best possible way. I am amazed and happy to get the correction done in my desired way.

Silicone Belly

Hello guys! I am Ragini Sharma. I am a resident of Mumbai. I live with my husband. From about 8 years, I and my husband was suffering from the trouble of not having a baby. We secretly consulted with some doctors and tried the available processes like folliculometry, ICI, AIH, AIHD, AID and what not, all sorts of processes I hate. On the other side the behavior of my father in law and mother in law also changed towards me. They always blamed me for this problem. Me and my hubby, both of us were very much tensed because of this problem. We decided to consult with an expert doctor about this problem.

After a week, we got appointment from the expert doctor. After meeting him, we came to know that I am suffering from the problem of total infertility. He suggested us the only way through it, is surrogacy and we should to go to Kolkata and consult with Dr. Sumitra Agarwal for artificial belly, to meet the social requirement and psychological support.

That very day, my husband contacted Dr. Sumitra Agarwal and she invited us to Kolkata. Without wasting much time, we went to Kolkata and met her. She described us about the process and also told us about the fake bellies.

She also described what are Fake bellies, how to use them. It is used by women who goes for a surrogacy to have a child. So I wore a false belly for the entire duration of the pregnancy of the surrogate. Wearing this false belly gave me the real experience. Additionally it supported me to participate in all religious ceremonies related to my pregnancy like ‘godbharai’.

I thank Dr. Sumitra Agarwal for helping us to solve the biggest problem of our life. Today, me and my husband are very happy to have a baby. Also, my parent in law has started behaving lovingly with me. I once again thank Dr. Sumitra Agarwal for helping us enjoy the social recognition.
